Tony’s Liquor: A Shreveport Treasure on Line Avenue ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Few places in Shreveport can claim the legacy, tradition, and family spirit that Tony’s Liquor brings to Line Avenue. Established in 1964 by Anthony “Tony” Cordaro, this family-owned shop has been serving customers with warmth and dedication for over 60 years. What began as a classic mom-and-pop liquor store has grown into a true local institution – one where community, tradition, and customer service always come first.

A Family Legacy Since 1964

Tony built his store with hard work, hospitality, and an eye for serving the community. His wife Jean stood by his side, helping him grow the business that supported their family of six. After Tony’s passing, Jean and their children stepped in to keep his dream alive.

In 2009, their son Joseph “Bubba” Cordaro took the reins and revitalized the shop, ensuring it remained in family hands. Even into her 90s, Jean still came to the store six days a week, proudly keeping Tony’s spirit alive. Today, Tony’s Liquor continues as a multi-generational family enterprise – a rare and cherished accomplishment.

More Than Just a Store

Tony’s Liquor isn’t just about selling wine, spirits, and beer – it’s about being part of Shreveport life.

5-Star Experience:
"Tony’s Liquor is hands-down the best liquor store in Shreveport. The staff makes you feel like family, the selection is top-notch, and the Eggnog Daiquiris alone are worth the trip every Christmas season. Bubba and his family have kept this Shreveport gem alive for 60 years, and you can feel the love and pride in every corner of the shop. Supporting Tony’s isn’t just buying a bottle – it’s supporting a piece of our city’s history."

  • Personal Service: Walk into Tony’s and you’re greeted with a smile. Regulars are known by name, and the staff is always ready to help you find something new or special.

  • Unique Selection: Bubba prides himself on stocking hard-to-find bourbons, scotches, wines, and local craft beers – items you won’t easily find at the big-box stores.

  • Community Connection: Tony’s hosts tastings, product launches, and supports local causes. In fact, Shreveport artist Eugene Mosley even debuted his peach cognac at Tony’s.

A Holiday Tradition: Eggnog Daiquiris

Ask any Shreveporter about Tony’s, and chances are they’ll mention the legendary Eggnog Daiquiris. Created by Tony’s son Mike, this frozen holiday treat has become as much a part of local Christmas traditions as decorating the tree. Each December, lines form at the drive-thru as families stock up for holiday gatherings. It’s not Christmas in Shreveport without a Tony’s eggnog daiquiri.

Celebrating 60 Years

In 2024, Tony’s Liquor celebrated its 60th anniversary, hosting a community party complete with food trucks and festivities. It wasn’t just a milestone for the store – it was a moment for Shreveport to honor a business that has faithfully served the community for six decades.
