Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic Returns March 28–29 🎾
Youth tennis is taking center court in the Shreveport-Bossier area as the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic returns March 28–29, 2026. Now in its third consecutive year since its 2024 relaunch, the USTA National Level 5 Tournament continues to grow, drawing talented junior players from across the country for a competitive and community-focused weekend.
Hosted primarily at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club, matches will also be played at Querbes Tennis Center and Bossier Tennis Center, showcasing some of the best tennis facilities in the region.
A Tournament on the Rise
The Junior Tennis Classic has quickly re-established itself as one of Louisiana’s premier youth tournaments. After returning in 2024 for the first time since 2019, the event was named the 2024 Junior Tournament of the Year by the Louisiana Tennis Association — a testament to its organization, competition level, and overall experience.
In 2025 alone, nearly 200 junior players and their families traveled to Shreveport-Bossier from 15 states, including Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and beyond. The tournament not only elevates youth tennis but also delivers a meaningful economic boost to the local community.

More Than a Bowl Game
Established in 1976, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl™ is one of college football’s most historic postseason games and will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. But the organization’s impact extends far beyond football season.
Through events like the Junior Tennis Classic, the Independence Bowl Foundation continues to strengthen its presence in the Shreveport-Bossier community — supporting youth athletics, driving tourism, and enhancing regional economic growth year-round.
As March approaches, all eyes will once again be on the courts as the next generation of tennis talent competes in one of Louisiana’s standout junior tournaments.
